Offering a sophisticated blend of Klezmer, Latin, Eastern European gypsy, French musette, Chamber music and American jazz, 3 Leg Torso has long been regarded as one of the Northwest’s premiere ensembles for special events. Their cosmopolitan musical style embraces wit and humor within thoughtful, uncommon and beautiful musical arrangements.

In addition to tastefully fulfilling the musical needs of private clients, the ensemble carries on an active concert and recording career, including licensing and composing music for film and television. Career highlights include:

~ Being profiled on NPR’s “All Things Considered,”

~ Performing at the re-opening of the Hollywood Bowl (2004) and at the Getty Center (2008),

~ Scoring a short film that was admitted to the 2009 Cannes Film Festival,

~ Being commissioned by the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA) and the Metropolitan Youth Symphony (MYS) for new work,

~ Completing a residency at the 2006 San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival, and

~ Being the two-time winner of the Portland Music Award for “Outstanding Achievement in World Music”
