McMenamin’s Edgefield - July 29, 2009

Filed under: Accommodations — Bravo Publications @ 12:30 pm

Just outside of the Columbia Gorge, McMenamin’s Edgefield sits on 74 acres of gorgeous farmland. It is located a mere fifteen minutes from downtown Portland, but it gives weekenders the feeling they are a world away. The main building was built in the early 1900’s and the décor is rich with European flair. The guest rooms have no telephones or televisions, encouraging guests to relax and enjoy their time at Edgefield. To accommodate those who must keep in contact, there is wireless Internet offered in the Black Rabbit Restaurant.
Edgefield offers numerous activities, so you are able to enjoy something you like, or branch out and try something new! Aside from multiple pubs and restaurants, the property houses a golf course, Ruby’s Spa (the Bravo team looks forward to a spa day!), a pool, extensive gardens, as well as a movie theater. Depending upon when you visit, you may have the chance to catch one of the outdoor concerts or art fairs held on the grounds. At the end of your trip don’t forget to visit the gift shop to pick up a souvenir to remember your stay, or find something for a loved one who couldn’t make the trip!
